What began on a European roadshow in 2004 grew into a full-service exhibition, interior and timber frame builder from Hoogkarspel. Own workshop, permanent team, work that travels the world.
It started on a roadshow.
In 2004 Arie and Selina met during a European roadshow for Mitsubishi. Selina was the freelance project manager, Arie the on-site foreman. Arie covered 10,000 kilometres by truck, Selina flew out after him every weekend.
The cities got prettier, the project ran better and the sun shone a little more often. After that tour the love stayed, and so did the love for the craft. They hired each other for jobs, and in 2013 it made sense to officially continue together.

Three disciplines, one team.
We are a full-service exhibition and interior builder, with timber frame construction as a third branch. The three go hand in hand, and that is what makes the work appealing: the pace and deadlines of stand building, the fine materials and precision of interior work, and the logistics of timber frame construction.
Exhibition stands
We focus on the higher end of international stand building. Counters, displays and structures of furniture quality, from first sketch to assembly on the show floor.
Interiors
Design, production and installation of interiors, separate from stand building. For businesses and private clients, with the same precision and the same fine materials.
Timber frame
Born during the pandemic, when the order book dried up. Thinking in elements is second nature to us, so timber frame construction was a logical step. And interior work often follows.
Everything under one roof.
Our workshop of around 2,000 m² houses a modern machine park, including a CNC machine, edge bander and cross-cut saws. What we build we store in 5,000 m² of storage. From first sketch to on-site assembly, everything happens in house. That keeps us in control of quality and planning.

From show floor to living room.
What we develop for stand building we bring just as easily to offices, shops and homes. The same materials, the same finish, the same people. Our own office in Hoogkarspel is a small example of it.
No footage? Then we make it ourselves.
When we could not find any existing footage for Van ’t Hek Kelderbouw, we simply shot the video ourselves, with our own people as the actors. On the show floor we used a screen set into the floor to create the illusion of a deep cellar, with a wellness area, a garage and a wine cellar. Thinking in solutions is part of the craft.
We do our part.
Sustainable building is in the way we work, not in a certificate on the wall.

- Only FSC-certified timber, for every tree felled a new one is planted
- We recycle plastic, paper and wood, leftover material goes to schools and hut building
- Glass, doors, walls and custom furniture are stored to be reused
Our own system stands, Explendid Flexible Expo, travel across Europe time after time. They work like building blocks: stands from 2 m² to around 40 m², with almost no waste.
We train our craftspeople ourselves.
Good people can be hard to find, so we train them ourselves. We are a proud accredited training company, with several interns and apprentices in house at all times. Those who learn their trade with us get a permanent place after their studies.
From youngsters and career switchers to craftspeople with a full working life behind them. We are proud of our women carpenters and of a team that mostly lives in West Friesland. Anyone cut from the right timber is welcome here.
As a social employer we stand beside our people, outside of work too, helping with the things that sometimes make life complicated. And we keep learning: this past year colleagues earned their forklift certificate, trailer licence and first-aid diploma.

We are a proud sponsor of the clubs around us, from VV Spirit and the autocross in Venhuizen to the historical society of Blokker. The hut building in Oosterblokker has a special place in our hearts, because that is where tomorrow’s carpentry talent comes from.
